ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ 1. ਨਾਵਲ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਰਾਜੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਦਿੱਖ ਦਾ ਸੰਕੇਤ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ?

Ans. Raju was formerly a tourist guide. He has just been released from prison. He has taken shelter in an old, deserted shrine on the bank of the river Sarayu. He has been in the shrine for over a day. He got himself shaved on coming out of the jail. After the shave, the talkative barber told him that he looked like a Maharaja In this way his imposing appearance which impressed people has been hinted at the very beginning.

ਉੱਤਰ- ਰਾਜੂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਟੂਰਿਸਟ ਗਾਈਡ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਹੁਣੇ ਹੀ ਜੇਲ੍ਹ ਤੋਂ ਰਿਹਾਅ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਉਸਨੇ ਸਰਯੂ ਨਦੀ ਦੇ ਕੰਢੇ ਇੱਕ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ, ਉਜਾੜ ਮੰਦਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਨਾਹ ਲਈ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਦਿਨ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੋਂ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਜੇਲ੍ਹ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਆਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ  ਸ਼ੇਵ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਗੱਲ ਕਰਨ ਵੇਲੇ ਨਾਈ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮਹਾਰਾਜੇ ਵਰਗਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਦਿੱਖ ਜੋ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਦਾ ਸੰਕੇਤ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
